The Delaware Knights of Magic Announced that Samuel M. Bailey III is “The Banquet Entertainer of the Year” for the State of Delaware for the year of 1997.

This title is awarded to the winner of a contest, conducted in June at the Delaware Knights of Magic Meeting.

Sam was also awarded “The Banquet Entertainer of the Year “ in 1989. He was also named in 1990 and 1994 “ The Magician of the Year” for the State of Delaware.

He is Know as “Mr. Show Business” and being an entertainer extraordinaire. He is a native of Victoria, Texas although he has lived in Newark, Delaware for the last 34 years. Sam is an actor, set designer, public relations and executive board of directors for the community theater. He is a producer, director; emcee for floor shows at country clubs, civic organizations, service clubs and business and professional groups. He is past president of The Delaware Knights of Magic and has entertained from Canada to Mexico, California to New York, China, England, Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Puerto Rico and Scotland.

He performs as 10 different characters, in costume and makeup for all ages. Although  he does sophisticated sorcery (serious magic)  and ESP magic, he prefers comedy magic because you can see the audience laugh and as you know, Doctors say laughter is the best medicine in the world. Therefore I guess you could say, he is a doctor of magic also.
